We were blown away by the tranquillity and rural charm of this hidden gem. The owners, Delia and Daniel, were incredibly friendly and helpful, and their beautiful dogs added to the warm atmosphere. The central location allowed us to easily explore the surrounding areas and enjoy the nearby coast. The highlight was definitely the breathtaking view of the Milky Way on clear nights, a sight that left us in awe. The presence of a couple of playful red squirrels in the garden was a delightful surprise. The caravan itself was spacious, tidy, and had all the amenities we could ask for, including a fully equipped kitchen, a clean bathroom, and even WiFi and Netflix for the kids. The little touches, like the 'in case you forgot something' wash bag in the bathroom, made us feel extremely welcome. We woke up to the peaceful sounds of birds chirping and cows mooing in the distance, surrounded by beautiful woodlands. our stay was mind-blowing, refreshing, and we can't wait to come back. We highly recommend this place for families seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

We loved the tranquility and rural setting of the place. It was a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. the view of the Milky Way on clear nights was simply breathtaking. the central location allowed us to easily explore the surrounding areas and it was a short drive to the coast, which was a big plus.
There were a couple of minor issues that we encountered during our stay. the grill on the barbecue was dirty and rusty, so we opted not to use it.

My recent stay at Railway Cottage Caravans No 1 was absolutely delightful. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by Delia who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. She even gave us a lift to the caravan with our bags on their adorable little train. The site itself is just magical, tucked away from the road with twinkling lights leading the way to the caravans, creating an enchanting atmosphere. The highlight was definitely the mini railway that runs alongside the path, offering us a fun ride both upon arrival and the next morning. Each caravan had its own private outdoor space, providing us with plenty of privacy. Inside the caravan, we were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and the unexpected large bathroom with a bath and separate shower. Delia even saved the day when we forgot to bring milk for our cup of tea, promptly providing us with some. The friendly and well-behaved dogs also added to the charm of our stay. My mum, who is 79, was particularly content with the easy-to-use heating control and the electric blanket on her bed. we had an incredibly comfortable and magical experience, and we have already decided to return for a longer stay. I highly recommend Railway Cottage Caravans No 1 for a perfect getaway.
